Hatshepsut Project (Facebook Group) Photo Collection

Our Facebook Group now has the beginnings of a photographic database. We now have hundreds of photos which can be used for reference or study.

Please feel free to pop in and have a look - we are always open to new members and it is a group for all, with input from all.

Currently we have photos from Deir el Bahri, Karnak, Aswan Quarry (Unfinished obelisk), the cliffs above Deir el Bahri, Hatshepsut scarabs and more.

The list will continue to grow. Should you require permissions to use any of the photographs- that must come from the photographer. If you aren't a member- please ask me and i will make enquiries on your behalf. Personal use is fine, but those wanting to reproduce them must obtain permission first.

More on the Liverpool Museum Pebble

Further to my recent post on the Hatshepsut "pebble" in the Liverpool Museum, i would like to add the following:

One of the Hatshepsut Project Group(Facebook) followers, Rita Murray has been kind enough to contact her local museum, which happens to be the Liverpool Museum. They confirm the item is on display, in the World Museum collection.

On the Liverpool Museums Facebook page, the item is displayed. They call it a "model shell type foundation deposit" and it can be seen here:

Hatshepsut Project now on Facebook

My wife and I have created the "Hatshepsut Project" Group to Facebook as a tester:

Please feel free to join the group. Feel free to start topics, make comments and generally have your say. Although i am the Admin, the intention is to find as many like minded people to discuss Hatshepsut with.

As with any "open groups" i hope that only those with a real interest have their say. I will try not to lead discussions, as i am at a stage where i need the thoughts of others.

It will be a test. If we get bogged down with spammers, then i will do my bit. If discussions arise which are healthy, then it will be a permanent fixture. I haven't linked this blogs posts yet, but that can be done soon if i (or others) feel it necessary or complimentary.
